Tools Reference
Comprehensive documentation for all integrated memory patching tools.
Overview
Timtam features a variety of built-in patching tools that allow you to modify both the core mechanics of the game and the specific behaviors of individual cards. These tools are grouped into two primary categories: Game Mechanics and Card Mechanics.
All tools edit the internal Hex memory addresses dynamically. For tools that take "Bonus Points", the values are automatically converted into the correct Little-Endian format required by the game engine.
Game Mechanics
These tools alter global aspects of Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories, affecting match rules, CPU behavior, and core game modes.
Initial Life Point
How it works: Configures the starting Life Points for you and the CPU opponent across all duelists in both Campaign Mode and Free Duel Mode.
Usage: Easily adjust the starting LP from standard 8000 to custom values up to 65,535. Perfect for creating endurance modes or quick-death challenges.
Card Limiter
How it works: Enforces standard TCG restrictions by restricting the maximum number of copies allowed per card in a deck.
Usage: You can assign Card IDs into three lists: Forbidden (0 copies), Limited to 1, and Limited to 2.
Battle Resonance
How it works: Allows assigned monsters to gain a dedicated ATK/DEF bonus value automatically when they attack or are attacked.
Usage: Configure positive and negative modifiers for up to 3 different Tiers. You assign a list of Card IDs to each Tier, creating strategic advantages or environmental mechanics for specific monsters.
Direct Strike
How it works: A permanent snowball effect. When assigned monsters successfully deal damage through a Direct Attack, their ATK and DEF permanently increase by the configured bonus value for the rest of the duel.
Survival Mode
How it works: Toggles Survival Mode restrictions for Free Duel opponents.
Card Mechanics
Tools designed to alter individual card rules, attributes, strengths, and specific behaviors.
Ritual Recipes
Modify Ritual Spells and their corresponding recipes. You can assign exactly 3 required material cards and 1 result card for iconic rituals like Polymerization or The Creator of Light.
Spell and Trap Immunity
Grant specific monsters immunity to standard destruction traps (like Mirror Force), Torrential Tribute, or all destruction spells. You can even configure monsters that prevent the opponent from activating traps altogether.
Field Commander
Create leader monsters. When a 'Parent' commander is summoned onto the field, it provides a global ATK/DEF boost to specific 'Child' monsters on the field.
Attribute Aura
When a monster with Attribute Aura is summoned, it radiates elemental power—empowering every ally on the field or in the hand that shares its specific attribute with a surge of ATK/DEF.
Piercing Damage
Monsters assigned to this tool will inflict piercing battle damage (trample). If they attack a monster in defense position and their ATK is higher than the DEF, the difference is dealt as damage to the opponent's Life Points.
Type Eradicator
When an Eradicator monster is summoned, it triggers a board wipe effect. It targets and destroys opponent monsters based on their Type. You can configure it to destroy "all monsters of the same type" or "all monsters EXCEPT a specific type".
Replay Attack
Permit assigned cards to attack multiple times in a single turn. Excellent for recreating Double Strike or Multi-Attack boss mechanics.
Deck Resonance
As long as the "trigger" card lurks in your deck (unplayed), its bonded field monster resonates with hidden power and gains a permanent ATK/DEF boost.
Equip Editor
Edit Equip cards and their bonus ATK/DEF points. You can configure unique equip spells like Megamorph & Riryoku, assign group bonuses, and select which cards are immune to the Reverse Trap effect.
Guardian Star (Weakness & Resistance)
Overrides the vanilla 500 ATK/DEF boost when Guardian Stars clash. You can set a custom modifier value, allowing for larger advantages or disadvantages during planetary alignment matchups.
