What is Timtam?

Timtam is a specialized, web-based toolkit designed from the ground up for reverse engineering and modding Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories.

Historically, modding PlayStation 1 games required scattered hex editors, complex desktop applications, and manual offset calculations. Timtam revolutionizes this workflow by providing a unified, visual interface that handles memory address calculations, hexadecimal conversions, and ISO rebuilding entirely in your browser.

Core Features

  • Visual Patching: Edit game mechanics, card stats, drops, and rituals through a clean UI—no hex knowledge required.
  • Dynamic Offset Calculations: All underlying memory pointers (such as Tier modifiers, Card IDs, and LP offsets) are computed automatically.
  • Zero-Install Architecture: Run the entire patching engine directly from the web without installing any desktop software.
  • Safe & Secure: Your `.bin` or `.iso` files are processed locally. They are never uploaded to any server.

Game Compatibility

Timtam is meticulously calibrated for the SLUS-01411 release (the standard North American NTSC-U version of Yu-Gi-Oh! Forbidden Memories).

NOTE ON REGIONS

While some memory offsets remain identical across regions (like PAL or NTSC-J), many of our advanced Card Mechanics tools rely on strict SLUS-01411 memory addresses. We recommend always using a clean US dump.

Architecture & Privacy

The heavy lifting of ISO parsing and binary patching is performed by high-performance WebAssembly (Wasm) modules right inside your browser tab.

Because of this offline-first architecture, Timtam does not track your data, upload your game files, or require an internet connection once the page is loaded. You can safely mod your games even on a strictly air-gapped machine by installing Timtam as a PWA.
